Most of the people, whose age is old, in other words, are old, who of course have lived a lot of bittersweet life, have retired from work, on average to fill their old age they tend to choose the activity of planting flowers in their yard.
Grandma is no exception. Grandma filled her days by taking care of a small garden in the yard. Apart from planting flowers, my grandmother also likes to plant plants that can be used as medicine. Such as stomach pain medicine, cough medicine, eye pain medicine.
Grandma's flower plants are not too many, but I think it's enough to decorate the yard.
Below is a photo of Grandma's small garden.
My whole family loves flowers. Whatever the type of flower. One day when I helped Grandma plant flowers, Grandma said that flowers are plants that inspire. Flowers are also a symbol of human life.
Grandmother said, "Humans are like flowers. In spring flowers grow beautifully and spread their fragrance. In autumn flowers change and fall. Humans are like flowers, there are times when they bloom, there are times when they wither, and there are times when they die."
I myself have read that Gerard De Nerval, an English novelist and poet, once wrote this: “Don't compare your life journey with others, because not all flowers grow and bloom at the same time. A rose cannot be a sunflower. Similarly, sunflowers cannot be roses. They are beautiful in their own way.”
Thank you for reading my first post in this community. May our days be pleasant and grow beautiful like flowers. Amen!
