I am always on the lookout for little spots of land that can be used to take off from.
I took these a few month ago without fully contemplating what was visible in just this area alone.
From up high, I find it remarkable that this vantage point reveals the vast difference in architecture, not just new builds from different firms over the past few years but entirely different decades and centuries too!
Trends, building constraints, regulations and individual design styles all play a part in this patch work of buildings.
Seen in this shot looking north west are: The Oval, Vauxhall, Kennington Park, Wembley Stadium and St Marks church. I really like the way the light filters through the floors in the buildings under construction.
The second shot features the unmistakable skyline of central London as well as various residential blocks in the Elephant & Castle area and One Blackfriars.
Enjoy and take care!
