If your ears have ever been pierced by the looong, droning shrill of the Cicada, then you may be familiar with this insect! Hearing a Cicada is one thing, but seeing one is entirely different, for they are known to burrow underground and live there for periods at a time. In fact, one species of Cicada lives underground for as long as 17 years!!
(They are quite alien-looking, wouldn't you agree?! 😅)
After encountering the Cicada, we took him away from the sidewalk and onto the grass that was off to the side 👍 We walked further down the road, stopping for a moment to have a snack, when again, I spotted another bunch of friends!
This time we were fortunate enough to not only come across a Snail, but a mama Snail and several of her babies! 😭🥰
(Here in my province, this species is called the Brown-Lipped Snail)
