This area is located at an average altitude of 100 - 2,500 masl. The name of this area is Bener Meriah, a district in Aceh, the island of Sumatra. The area is located at 4° 33 50 - 4° 54 50 North Latitude and 96° 40 75- 97° 17 50 East Longitude.
Bener Meriah, the capital of which is Redelong, has a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. It has a land area of 1,454.09 km2 (561.43 sq mi). The cold region is known as a famous producer of Arabica coffee. Almost all residents in this area are coffee farmers, coffee traders, and other things related to coffee. A few are civil servants, and the rest are soldiers, police, and private employees.
I had the opportunity to visit Bener Meriah in early November 2021. My arrival to a country that is often shrouded in fog is greeted with drizzle every day. To warm my body, I ended up consuming coffee typical of this region.
Rain and fog became an identity that was recorded in my brain, during the three days I was in Bener Meriah. Ah, cold... The temperature is very different from the coastal area where I have lived so far.
