(Eng) Hello photography community, I went out for a walk with my best friend my camera to explore the streets of Lima, Peru, through the districts of Barranco, Miraflores, and Downtown Lima, some of the most popular areas in my city.
I wanted to share another one of my passions: street photography. Shooting without fear, training the eye through practice, and giving each image that black and white style that adds such a special touch.
(Esp) Hola comunidad de fotógrafos , salí a caminar con mi mejor amiga mi cámara, a recorrer las calles de Lima, Peru, por los distritos de Barranco, Miraflores y en Centro de Lima, lugares muy populares en mi ciudad, y mostrar mi otra pasión la fotografía callejera, disparar sin miedo, darle practica al ojo, y darle ese estilo en blanco y negro que le da ese toque tan especial.
(Eng) In Lima city, we can also find women from the Andes who continue to follow their traditional customs. I took this photo during Carnaval, a festivity that every city in Peru celebrates in its own special way, each with its unique traditions painted faces, colorful ponchos, and their distinctive hats.
(Esp) En Lima ciudad también podemos encontrar mujeres de los andes, que sigues con sus costumbres esa foto la tome durante los Carnavales, es una festividad que cada ciudad de Peru lo celebra de una manera especial , cada uno maneja un respectiva costumbre, con los otros pintados, los ponchos y sus sobreros peculiares.

(Eng) Overcoming fear and getting close to take a photo becomes a real challenge. Approaching someone and asking if you can take their picture has been a personal struggle for me but little by little, I’ve been letting go of that fear. Here, a young woman from Lima, in Barranco, poses for me.
(Esp) Perder el miedo y acercarte a tomar una fotografía , se vuelve un desafio con el miedo, acercarte y pedir si puedes sacar una foto ha sido todo un reto para mi con el tiempo lo he ido perdiendo, acá una chica de Lima en Barranco posa para mi.

(Eng) The smoker it's now rare to see someone smoking a cigarette. With fewer and fewer spaces for smokers, it's becoming less common. In the open-air cafés of Miraflores, you can still see some people smoking. It used to be something very normal, but now it's something that really catches my attention.
(Esp) El fumador, ya es extraño encontrar alguien fumando un cigarrillo, cada vez con menos espacios para fumadores, en los cafés al aire libre en Miraflores aun se ven personas fumando, antes era algo muy normal ahora es algo que veo y llama mucho mi atención.

(Eng) A very popular street in Miraflores, the well-known Calle de las Pizzas. It used to be famous for its pizza and Italian food, but nowadays it's filled with bars, nightclubs, and more a lively spot often visited by tourists. What I liked about this photo is the contrast: how the light brings life to the man with his suitcase.
(Esp) Calle muy popular en Miraflores, la conocida Calle de las Pizzas, antes era un lugar muy conocido para comer pizzas comida italiana, ahora puedes encontrar bares discotecas y entre otras cosas un lugar muy concurrido por turistas, me gusto el contraste que tiene la foto como la luz de la vida al hombre con su maleta.

(Eng) Kittens of Kennedy Park, another iconic spot in the Miraflores district — also known as The Cat Park. This park is very popular with tourists and has become home to many cats who are allowed to live freely. They are fed and even have little houses where they can sleep. People enjoy spending time with them they are gentle, sociable, and very friendly.
(Esp) Gatitos del Parque Kennedy, otro lugar emblemático del distrito de Miraflores, también conocido el parque de los gatos, este parque es muy concurrido por los turistas y también ha alojado a muchos gatos los cuales se les deja vivir libremente, se les alimenta y hasta se les han puesto casitas para que puedan dormir, la gente comparte mucho con ellos, son dóciles y muy amigables.

(Eng) Also in Miraflores, you can find the PALM – Palacio de las Artes de Miraflores, where free photography exhibitions are held, showcasing the work of many icons of Peruvian photography.
I was lucky to come across an exhibition of the legendary photographer Baldomero Alejos, an Ayacucho-born artist who worked from 1924 to 1976. If you get the chance, look up his art it's truly worth discovering.
The photo speaks for itself a reflection I captured of past and present.
(Esp) También en Miraflores puedes encontrar el PALM, Palacio de las Artes de Miraflores, donde se hacen exposiciones fotográficas gratuitas y expone a muchos iconos de la fotografía peruana tuve la suerte de encontrarme con el icónico fotógrafo Baldomero Alejos un fotógrafo Ayacucho de 1924 hasta 1976, si tienes la oportunidad busca sobre su arte. La foto habla por si sola es un reflejo que capte del pasado y el presente.

(Eng) The Drinker On the Barranco boardwalk, you can find people sitting and drinking alcohol at any time of the day, hidden along the edges of the cliffs. You have to be very cautious when taking photos because you never know how people might react. But sometimes, you just have to take the risk.
(Esp) El Bebedor, en Malecón de Barranco, puedes encontrar personas sentada bebiendo alcohol a cualquier hora del día, escondidos entre los bordes el acantilado, hay que ser muy cauteloso para tomar la fotos por que aveces no sabes con que reacción te puedes encontrar, pero no hay queda de otra aveces hay que arriesgar.

(Eng) We arrived at Los Yuyos, a beach in Barranco. One of the privileges we have in Lima is a coastline full of beaches.
Here we see The Footballer this is Peru, and we’re passionate about football. You’ll find people of all ages playing with a ball, anywhere and anytime.
(Esp) Llegamos a los Yuyos, playa en Barranco, donde algo que somos privilegiados es que tenemos una costa llena de playas, aca vemos al Futbolista, es Peru somos muy amantes de fútbol vas a encontrar a muchas personas de todas las edades jugando con el balón.
