Levantarme por la mañana y que una de las primeras cosas que vean mis ojos sea esta Cartacuba hermosa, y hacerle fotos sin espantarla me hace muy feliz.
Esta ave es autóctona de Cuba y, al igual que el Tocororo, no puede vivir en cautiverio. No son muy comunes de ver en la ciudad, ya que su habitad son las áreas boscosas, pero como vivo en un pueblo rodeado de árboles, tengo la dicha de verlas de vez en cuando por aquí, sobre todo en estos meses que es cuando se reproducen.
Me encantan sus colores, su pequeño tamaño y como se quedó tan tranquila cerca de mí. Debo admitir que pude haberle hecho mejores fotos, pero literalmente salí corriendo a buscar la cámara, encenderla y terminar de despertar antes de que se fuera.
