If there is something I love about my country is its culture, arriving to one of its oldest cities and talking about culture is the same thing. Here I met thousands of Cuban artisans selling on every corner. Cuba has many problems, but you cannot deny the beauty of its culture.
We work art with our hands, with our minds and with our hearts. If there is something important and great in Cuba, it is the heart of the Cubans. We put heart into everything and we never let our culture die. Because it is not only in Cuba, in any country in the world you go you will find a Cuban who has a little piece of his culture at home.
Cubans are unique, they have their own language, their way of living, their art, and above all an unmatched human warmth. Every step I took in Trinidad took me into a magical world, from a guano hat, a guayabera, a small animal made of leaves of fronds, or even a human statue made of clay resisting under the sun. And believe me, the Cuban sun is too strong.
Anyway, Cuban culture is immense, and here I bring you a little piece of it. I hope you take this walk with me and enjoy it as much or more. Soon I will bring you more of my Cuban roots.

Raíces (parte 1)
Si algo amo de mi país es su cultura, llegar a una de sus ciudades más antiguas y hablar de cultura es lo mismo. Aquí me encontré con miles de artesanos cubanos vendiendo en cada esquina. Cuba tiene muchos problemas, pero no se puede negar la belleza de su cultura.
Trabajamos el arte con las manos, con la mente y con el corazón. Si algo hay importante y grande en Cuba, es el corazón de los cubanos. A todo le ponemos corazón y nunca dejamos morir nuestra cultura. Porque no es solo en Cuba, a cualquier país del mundo que vayas te vas a encontrar con un cubano que tenga un pedacito de su cultura en casa.
El cubano es único, tiene su propio idioma, su forma de vivir, su arte, y sobre todo un calor humano inigualable. Cada paso que daba en Trinidad me adentraba en un mundo mágico, desde un sobrero de guano, una guayabera, un pequeño animal hecho de hojas de frondas, o incluso una estatua humana de barro resistiendo bajo el sol. Y créanme que el sol de Cuba de fuerte se pasa.
En fin, la cultura cubana es inmensa, y aquí les traigo un pedacito de ella. Espero que se adentren en este paseo conmigo y les guste tanto o más. Muy pronto les traigo más de mis raíces cubanas.
