Hydroelectric power station Porogi is considered the oldest operating in the country. Located in the Chelyabinsk region, in the village of Porogi. But it doesn’t look much like the current one; rather, the object is being preserved. Built in 1908 to supply electricity to a ferroalloy plant. The hydroelectric power station also provided electricity to neighboring villages. But due to its remote location, the plant closed and the villages gradually died out. Now only the village of Porogi is residential, and only thanks to the large number of tourists who come to see the hydroelectric power station.
