Samara region, Syzran region, Maiden's tears waterfall. At the time of shooting, it didn’t look much like a waterfall, just two ice pillars. But literally in another week - there will be a fairly strong flow. True, this period is short. After all, the stream on which this waterfall is located becomes more or less large in the spring, during the melting of snow. In the summer, it may disappear altogether. Under the waterfall there is a small grotto, in which a small lake forms in the spring. And downstream of the stream there is another small waterfall. - Man's tears

Each year, these pillars have a different shape. When I happened to visit this place in 2019, there was only one pillar, but very thick :)

The columns also differ in color. One is more transparent - it is located in the depths of the grotto under the waterfall, the second pillar with a green tint - because of what, it is not entirely clear. Maybe it's just the way the light falls. Maybe there are some pieces of mud or algae in the ice, which gives it a green color :)

As they say, the waterfall got its name - "Maiden's tears" because of the legend that once upon a time, in the days of paganism, priests gathered here and sacrificed young girls. It was from their tears that a waterfall was formed ..

In places where water seeped through the ceiling of the grotto - these are ice columns. Part is broken as the place is popular with tourists...
