The Church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Malaya Malyshevka in the Samara region is most likely the oldest wooden church preserved in the region. Built in 1834. At the end of the 18th century the building was slightly reconstructed. During Soviet rule, they tried to close the temple, but local residents came to the defense of their native church. They say that icons and other church things were brought to this church. Until the beginning of 1990, the temple building was not particularly looked after - there was not enough money. But then things gradually began to improve, and the building was completely restored. Now the temple building has the status of a cultural heritage site
