Sea Gull on a Boat
These are a few of my favourite pictures of seagulls that I took in Greece last year. We took the ferry from Keramoti to the island of Thassos and were occasionally graced with the presence of seagulls :D Some of the tourists feed them bread or sometimes throw them the craziest things to eat. Fortunately, the seagulls know what is good for them and what is better left lying around. Many of the seagulls are already used to people and do not immediately shy away when you try to take a photo of them. I was really happy about this, especially because of my "model" on the first photo :D
Dies sind ein paar meiner Lieblingsbilder von Möwen, die ich letztes Jahr in Griechenland gemacht habe. Wir sind mit der Fähre von Keramoti auf die Insel Thassos gefahren und wurden zwischendurch mit der Anwesenheit von Möwen beehrt :D Einige der Touristen füttern diese mit Brot oder werfen ihnen auch manchmal die verrücktesten Sachen zum essen hin. Ein Glück wissen die Möwen, was gut für sie ist, und was sie besser liegen lassen. Viele der Möwen sind schon an Menschen gewöhnt und schrecken auch nicht sofort weg, wenn man versucht ein Foto von ihnen zu machen. Dies hat mich vor allem wegen meinem "Model" auf dem ersten Foto echt gefreut :D

Many many Sea Gulls
When the ferry is really underway, it is very difficult to take decent pictures of seagulls. As the positions of the gulls guide the eye, it is important that I catch them at the right moments. Depending on how fast the boat is going or how far the boat is from the mainland, the gulls are closer or further away from the boat. Meanwhile, there are apparently also commuters between Keramoti and Thassos and the seagulls settle down on the ferry after a certain point to save their energy :D Here you can also see the mainland and the mountains of Greece in the background.
Wenn die Fähre wirklich unterwegs ist, ist es sehr schwer vernünftige Bilder von Möwen zu machen. Da die Positionen der Möwen, das Auge leiten ist es wichtig, dass ich sie in den richtigen Momenten erwische. Je nachdem wie schnell das Boot ist oder wie weit das Boot vom Festland entfernt ist, sind die Möwen auch näher oder weiter weg vom Boot. Mittlerweile gibt es anscheinend auch Pendler zwischen Keramoti und Thassos und die Möwen lassen sich ab einem gewissen Zeitpunkt auf der Fähre nieder um ihre Kraft zu sparen :D Hier sieht man auch im Hintergrund das Festland und die Berge Griechenlands.

In the Air
Here I caught a seagull at the right moment. In the background you can see a small lighthouse and its jetty and the seagull makes a majestic impression. This year we are not going to Greece again, but are going on holiday to the most typical holiday destination of every German. We're going to Mallorca :D but there are seagulls there too, so let's see what kind of seagull pictures I'll take this year.
Hier habe ich eine Möwe im richtigen Moment erwischt. Im Hintergrund sieht man einen kleinen Leuchtturm und den dazugehörigen Steg und die Möwe macht einen majestätischen Eindruck. Dieses Jahr fliegen wir nicht wieder nach Griechenland, sondern machen Urlaub im typischsten Urlaubsziels eines jeden Deutschen. Es geht nach Mallorca :D aber auch da gibt es Möwen, also mal sehen was für Möwenbilder ich dieses Jahr machen werde.
