JAR MAKING in ILOCOS christianyocteshots 2023
One of the fun things that I enjoyed in Ilocos was witnessing the locals do their livelihood. It is like immersing myself into their way of life. So, when our tourguide told us that we would be witnessing how pots and jars are made in Ilocos, I was very excited to go. It is similar to doing a TV magazine show or a documentary where you see actual people doing the things we enjoy and use in our daily life and knowing stories you never heard of before.
When we arrived there, I was mesmerized by their works; the beauty of each jar, and the intricate designs and patterns sculpted in each jar. I couldn't help my self taking photos of them.
We were escorted inside for us to witness the actual making of the jar. These jars jars greeted us. It was for me a very beautiful scene so, I took a photo of it.
The Jar Making Process
This is the firsr time that I would be able to see in person how a jar is made traditionally. I have so much respect to people who have good hands at crafting, planting, and sewing. I love to watch them use their hands make and create something.
