It's me again, with another desperate plead. If you love photography and you don't own a 35mm camera... then you are missing out.
-Kashmiri Boy in Delhi-
It's not just the aesthetic your denying yourself of, the grain, the skin tones, the flaws and inconsistencies; it's an entire process lost to time and technology.
-Goats in Dharamshala-
You lose the joy of ripping open a fresh roll of film, inhaling the fumes, the smell of sweet gasoline and plastic wrap. You lose that moment of reflection, as you wind the spool into your camera of the ages, a quiet moment where the act of photography is present but you are free of any stress. You are enjoying the act of preparation.
-Mharati Man, Pune-
Then comes the final lost joy. The revelation, the big reveal which is always full of wonderful surprise and tough disappointment, but alas, let the years fall off and I can assure you the task of revisiting your negatives decades later will ignite a brilliant nostalgia inside you.
-Self Portrait-
Hope you enjoyed these images. They were taken on my Olympus 35RC that I bought in Delhi, India at the old lost camera bazaar. It was a great trip and a great hunt finding the remnant stalls of a distant past. The photos are mostly of Delhi and Pune.
Thanks for your time!
Have a nice day ☺️
