How was your Sunday? For me, it's the one day in the week that I always set aside for photowalks. Now that I've started my TikTok journey, it's also become a day for practicing videography.
One great thing about TikTok is that it provides tools to easily combine short clips, edit them, add sound, and apply effects. It's very convenient and user-friendly, which allows me to focus more on improving my videography skills.
I'm really enjoying the experience—especially when I think back to the first time I tried using Adobe Premiere. Honestly, it was quite intimidating. Thankfully, it was just a trial version, because I only used it once before giving up. It just wasn’t easy for me to grasp, and it felt like I needed to study a lot before I could even start editing properly.
That’s what makes the TikTok app so appealing—it’s much easier to learn, and posting content is super straightforward too.
I believe that’s the goal for almost every app these days—to make things easy and fast to use by removing unnecessary complications and counterproductive features. Apps should empower the masses, not hinder their growth in creativity and social presence.
Anyway, I think I got a bit sidetracked. The real purpose of this post is to share with you the photos and videos I took last Sunday while exploring the City Hall area, particularly the spots along Coleman Street.
And here’s the video I edited on CapCut and shared again on my Shorts page.
On Sundays, the City Hall area transforms into Singapore’s Little Burma, as large crowds of Myanmar nationals gather here to meet friends, have picnics, chat, and reconnect. It was crowded, but it was also great to see the place buzzing with lively activities—even under gloomy skies.
I checked out Funan Mall, the National Gallery, Parliament Place, and… the UFO? Haha!
Thanks for joining me on this little Sunday adventure around the City Hall area. I always enjoy capturing the energy of the city and discovering new perspectives through my lens. Until the next photowalk—stay curious and keep creating!
