For this post I will introduce you to a plant grown in my area en masse. This plant is called rapeseed. This plant allows us to produce oil, once the flowering is over and the plant has dried on its feet, the farmer uses a combine harvester to harvest the seed of this plant. This seed is crushed and pressed to collect the oil it contains. I love this moment when all the spring flowers bloom and gratify us with their colors and awaken in us our organism which has hibernated all winter. This plant can be seen from very far because its bright yellow color on all the rest of the crops which for the moment remains green contrasts and makes the landscape less austere.
I had fun cutting this photo into a band to show a view in color and another in black and white. Grasse in Hive I discovered a passion for black and white photography but the beautiful color of rapeseed forces me to stay on colors
In this photo we can clearly see that the vegetation has not yet arrived. Some trees start to show very small leaves and others still wait before releasing their first leaf or flower. In the distance we see a plot of fields worked by a tractor where he must currently sow the precious spring barley which is used to make beer, but let's not disperse and stay on our rapeseed which is our subject today photo.

Depending on the type of rapeseed to plant, the color and height of the plant can change. Also imagined that when the sun beats down all day a heavy smell reigns over the whole countryside. Opinions are shared, some like this characteristic spring scent and others don't like it.
This plant gives tiny seeds and makes it very volatile, you have to take a lot of care to harvest it. Often after harvesting the plant is found everywhere on the side of the roads and in the gardens
The plant is rather invasive and leaves only a very small chance for the other plant to be able to grow
Rapeseed is planted in August immediately after the harvest of wheat or barley, it needs to spend a winter and the plant can be formed so that in the spring it grows faster. it takes about 30 days to grow from the grass stage to this flowering plant. When I was little I ventured to try to cross a flowering rapeseed camp and when I came out I was all yellow.
A top of the plant still see other flower buds ready to come out
Another view of a future liter of oil hahahaha
I used this photo to make my black and white headband, it gives another angle of view
Seen further from the first photo at the end of the road, the little black dot is the tractor that works in the fields to plant its barley to make malt beer
Imagine the hundreds of liters of oil waiting to be produced to be used for cooking. Now you will know why the oil has this yellow color
On this panel it is marked that the path is private. The farmer no longer wants to see anyone wandering his path.
Thank you for watching this little report of a piece of life in a corner of the world. I like hive because through its intermediary we can either share a moment of life from where we live or be able to watch and discover a fragment of life from another country.
