Sometimes I just get the urge to take photographs. It can be as simple as boredom or in this instance the fact that I was in a new place. Our second-floor front porch in our Seaside Heights, NJ vacation house was the perfect place to capture some photos of myself.
I always travel with my tripods, so taking photos was always part of the plan. I got very lucky and just happened to walk outside right as the sun was setting. It was piercing in perfectly right where I was on the porch. As we all know, sunsets only last so long though, so I had to work quickly.
I set up my equipment and then rushed back over to my spot and got to posing. I moved around a few times to get some different angles. I ended up with 10 photos, some of which I think look totally fantastic. Something about natural sunlight like this just makes for the best portraits. Sunsets and sunrises are elite in terms of lighting. At the time of writing this, I haven't decided yet if I will be down to awaken before 6 am to catch the sunrise morning. I hope that I can force myself to do it and end up out on the beach, most likely by myself, to take some epic photos first thing in the morning.
Sunday night was the first time I took the time to use my tripod and take photos, but I knew for sure it would not be the last time this trip. That means you can expect to see more photographs in the coming days. Stay tuned for more soon. I'm guessing all of my future photos are not going to just be of me, but I'll have to convince my family to motivate them to work with me. Not everyone thinks photography is as fun and simple as I do.
Thanks for taking a look at my photos today.
