Gran Turismo 7 was a great racing simulation game the day it was released on March 4, 2022.
Since then it has gotten better each month. They've remedied the issue of not receiving enough rewards for the races. Many new races have been added and even a new track or two. You can now sell extra cars you have stored in your garage. That's just some of the changes made to the initial version of the game. It's nice to know the developers are adamant about making this game better.
Another way this game has improved is a drastic increase in the size of the car roster. With each update, multiple new cars are added and the most recent update was the best one yet in terms of cars.
1.27 introduced five new cars:
Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo
Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm ’20
Bugatti Chiron ’16
Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205) ’95
Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray ’20

It is the last car that had me the most excited to get back into playing some GT7. I have been waiting to finally be able to drive the new mid-engine C8 Corvette in a video game. NFS Unbound was the first racing game I played that featured the C8, but shortly after it was released GT7 added the car to the game. It was really fun to customize and drive in NFS, but there is no denying that GT7 is far more realistic.
On top of being more true to actual driving, GT7 also has the best photo mode that I've ever used in a video game. This meant that I not only could design a livery for my C8, and drive it in a realistic manner but also take professional photographs of my car to show it off.
Scapes is the photo mode in GT7 and they've added many new locations to photograph your rides. Seeing as it's still Christmas season, they added some holiday backgrounds with lights. I decided this would be the perfect time to proudly showcase my custom C8 Corvette.
Accompanied by the written portion of this post, you will find 10 photos of my Corvette that I captured in Gran Turismo 7. Don't be fooled, these are not photos from real life. If I did own a C8 irl, it would look just like this one. The livery is nothing crazy but it allows my car to blend a beautiful candy teal with a bright blue. It certainly stands out.
Let me know which of the photos is your favorite. My personal choice would be the one with the car's reflection and golden Christmas lights in the background. Hence why I used it as the first image on this post.
I hope everyone had a good Christmas. It is never too late to share some Christmas photos like these.
