Hello everybody! Nature does not have bad weather. I love visiting historical sites and parks. In the case of the Palace Park Amsable in the city of Gomel, I was able to see the symbiosis of nature and architecture. This is a historical place where you can catch an incredible atmosphere and have a good time.
The palace and park amsemble is a natural and architectural monument of the 18th century. In this place you will find a lot of sculpture and architecture creations.
The huge territory of the park is home to numerous historical buildings and relics. But if you are walking in the park, you can see that, in addition to history, attention is paid to the locals. How can locals be in a historical place? In addition to pigeons and ducks, many squirrels live here. Special houses have been created for them.
The main building of the park welcomes tourists from the main entrance. The Rumyantsev and Paskevich Palace is an architectural monument that is the main attraction of the park and the pride of the state.
But the monuments are located throughout the park. In addition to ancient trees and buildings, an ancient tomb can be found in the northern part of the territory. This is a complex of buildings that was built in the 18th century. The Paskevichs, noble people, are buried there.
Each part of the palace and park amsemble is replete with many large and small historical architectures. For example, on each hill, you can find small gazebos. They are ancient. The roof is supported by majestic columns.
In order to assess the scale of the entire territory, I decided to climb the highest hill.
The ancient tower is one of the tallest buildings in ancient Gomel. This is a dangerous and inviting place. A beautiful view of the embankment and the park opens from the height of the tower.
The tower is located in the southern part of the park. It was built in the 19th century. At the moment it serves as a historical landmark, but in the 19th century the tower was part of the Paskevich sugar factory.
But the park is beautiful not only from a bird's eye view. A huge number of branches in the park will not leave anyone indifferent.
I liked the "staircase to nowhere". This is a famous place in the park in which a resting place is established. If you look from the park, it seems that this place leads to the sky.
Many architectural landmarks are located on the territory of the Gomel Park. One of the main attractions is the Peter and Paul Cathedral. This is the place where time has stood still. After World War II, the building was restored to its former form.
The palace and park ensemble in Gomel is so large that it would be problematic to describe it in one post. I have selected the most significant moments of my visit to this historic site. Each architectural and natural site deserves special attention. I have put everything together, but in the future I will tell you about everything separately. The park is beautiful.
The stone is dedicated to the ancestors of Gomel, who laid the foundation for the city's well-being.
