Hello everybody! Photos allow you to capture not only the present, but also the moments of the past. Many architectural creations can be considered a "time capsule". It is interesting to capture how the descendants built the shrines and what style they used. Today I want to present photos of the Cathedral of the Descent of the Holy Spirit.
The Cathedral is one of the main attractions of the city of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. The building is located in the historical part of the city.
The history of this Church began in the middle of the 16th century. Fromnaally it was a building that is a Catholic monastery. But history did not spare this church, since for a number of reasons it was repeatedly reconstructed.
Nowadays it is one of the main attractions of the Belarusian capital.
The white church building stands out against the gray city buildings. This place is considered to be the center of the city. About a thousand years ago, a city was formed near this place.
Each side of the church is unique. It is a visited religious site.
The windows of the church are decorated with frescoes. Each drawing is a religious motive. Each drawing is a biblical story.
There is a baptism room for babies on the back of the building. This is the place where newborn people find faith. Although they do not make this decision of their own free will.
At the moment, the temple is an Orthodox shrine. It houses several important religious artifacts. Religious people honor the temple as a place of power.
During the German occupation of Belarus, this temple was closed. But after the war, the believers were able to bring him back.
Located in the center of the "old city", this building attracts the attention of many tourists. And the inhabitants of Minsk love to spend their time here.
Anyone who comes to the historic city center pays attention to this Temple. Despite the fact that there are high-rise buildings and a modern shopping center around.
Interesting Orthodox relics are located around the cathedral. These are signs that tell about the biblical story.
Orthodox cathedrals are different from Catholic shrines. They mostly have white facades, but this does not negate their historical value. Each architectural historical building is beautiful in its own way. Photos of places like this come out great.
