After a 3 hour journey I'm back home, I've had such a fantastic time in Cumbria aka the Lake District that I didn't even want to come home. Sadly, funds, commitments and work all got in the way.
Sadly, as the weather has been quite poor with rain etc, I hardly took any photos with the camera, and I only got two shots with the drone between rain showers, however, just before I went on holiday, we had a lovely evening, and I thought I'd make the best of the gorgeous sunset that night.
So the night before I went on holiday, I headed up to Wentworth, I had a couple of locations in mind, but I really wanted to get the church as I'd photographed it in snow, I wanted to get it in nice light, admittedly it would have been better at sunrise with the beautiful warm morning light paining the front of the church, but I couldn't miss this sunset.
I flew the drone around getting different angles, shooting 5 different exposures per shot, as I knew for the results I want I would have to process them in HDR.
There was quite a lot of birds in the are, from jackdaws to crows, pigeons and all other birds in between, the sound of them getting to roost is always a sound I love and makes me think of those long hot summers days as a kid when you were playing in the garden as the sun slowly kissed the horizon.
I kept an eye out just to make sure the birds stayed away from the drone and made sure I didn't fly too close to disturb them, after all it is their domain and not mine.
When I got home and processed the shots, I was blown away, I really love these shots, especially the first one on this post as the light is just lovely.
I really hope you all enjoy these few shots.
Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
All the best :-)
