I am an avid user of various photo websites, the main one I use, even though not the best is Instagram, there is one guy on there that goes out with his drone and uses a Lumecube to light up subjects and gets really unique shots.
The photographer uses a DJI Air 2S for this (as far as I'm lead to believe), however I only had the DJI Mini 3 Pro at the time, in which wouldn't be strong enough to put a lumecube on there.
Anyhow, I've now updated drones and now own the DJI Mini 4 pro, it's the same size as the mini 3, however one thing it does have is a light built into it.
(Drone light photoshopped out of the above shot)
I thought I would just see how bright the light is, as I'd only seen it through the day, so I took the drone on the back garden and shot a few test shots using a long exposure on my camera.
I have to say that I was blown away by the brightness, it also gave a kind of fairy tale calming light over the garden, it was such lovely light I didn't want to land the drone lol.
As of now though, Storm Babet has hit us and it's been raining for what must be the past 7 or 8 hours and still more to come, we have flood alerts all over the town and even country, there's a lot of rain in this one, so I'm hoping that we have some calm after the storm so I can carry out some of the awesome shots I have planned.
I really hope you like this post, and even the test shots that I made, keep checking for future posts where I'm using the drone to light up the place, I really can't wait to do this.
Thanks for reading,
All the best :-)
