As I looked to the heavens to admire the Super Blue Moon, I saw a really bright star directly above it, I checked my Starwalk 2 app and it turned out to be Saturn, hanging there in the night sky, such a beautiful sight, I thought I would try to photograph the scene as I saw it.
I had to take two shots, one of the moon and then another of Saturn as the moon was way too bright to to get saturn in the same shot. I then blended them together and this is what I saw.
Sadly there was a thin veil of cloud in which affected the sharpness of the images, however, I am more than happy with the outcome of this shot.
I had to take a shot of the super blue moon as the next one to come around won't be until 2037 so I didn't want to miss it.
Earlier om in the evening, I could sense a good sunset, so I rushed up to Ulley Reservoir, sadly it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be, so again I didn't get the shots I wanted, but these aren't too bad. I've been wanting to get a tractor plough a field for a while, but the tractor was in the wrong location, I will like the shot, which I had to time right as this road is a very busy one.
Even though I like the shots, there was a very short period of time where the sun was illuminating the ground, which seems to be a bit of a common theme lately as the sky looks lovely but the ground is flat with no warm light on it.
So I keep trying for the shot I want to get of the reservoir.
I am off to Norfolk for a week this coming monday, it's a place that I've not visited very often and don't know too much about the area, although I have done some research and looking forward to the holiday. Most of all I'm looking forward for some epic photography as the weather forecast for next week is really good, I already have a milkyway shot planned, fingers crossed I'll get the shot I want.
I really hope you have enjoyed this post and thanks for reading.
All the best :-)
