Come over here, take your shoes off and let’s wade into the water. The average ocean temperature for mid July, Vancouver Island is around 14°C or 57 Fahrenheit. A comfortable temperature for us Canadians. Compare that to Southern California and you are about 19°C or 68 Fahrenheit — Warmer! The warmer the better I guess, but Vancouver is closer, so I’ll take that. Not to mention, our ocean is somewhat cleaner and less polluted than our southern neighbors. This particular area is called Tonquin beach, the first of several beaches we visited in one quick day trip to this side of the island. So far we are having an absolute blast. Thanks for stopping by.
