Canyon hiking, or should I just call it canyon walking? After all, there really isn’t any elevation gain to deal with. Aside from the rocky parts of the canyon floor, it’s more of a walk than a hike. Hiking usually involves elevation gain or loss, mostly. Now hiking shoes were definitely a must on this one, the odd sharp edged rock could certainly play havoc with a pair of runners. That being said, would you consider it a walk or a hike? What say you? Photos taken at Jura Canyon, Kananaskis country, Alberta.
