Not a New Year’s post, will save that for tomorrow. This is the spectacular Kootenay river, as it runs by Nipika Mountain resort, British Columbia. At this time of the year (September) the river is on the low side, imagine what this would look like during peak melt around late June early July! These canyon cliffs look really unique, I don’t recall ever seeing something so pretty before. I wonder how stable the walls are, year after year, the water erodes and nature carry’s on.
