Check out this mountain sculpture, it sort of looks like a large disc, at least that is what comes to mind when looking at it! I’m going to nickname it “disc mountain”. On the opposite side is Helen Lake, the end point to today’s hike. Although I learned that one can actually continue beyond the lake and upward for a better view of the valley. Perhaps I’ll leave that for next time. The elements were not cooperating so perfectly, meaning it was windy with a light rain, and overcast. Not ideal for an amateur photographer like yours truly. This hike will remain on my radar for another attempt someday in the near future. Can hardly wait to go back for round two. Next time the elements must be in full cooperation mode. At the very least, blue skies would be awesome.
