So as we made our way around Lake Edith, suddenly I noticed a gaggle or flock of ducks. So walking ever so slowly toward them, and really really hoping they would not fly away, I slowly pulled out the camera and began shooting like a madman. When done, there was still some time available, so I also took a whole bunch with the smartphone too. This is when it is handy to have a 42 mega pixel camera. Any duck enthusiasts out there that may know what kind of duck this is? Anyhow, it was the highlight of Edith Lake for me. These chance wildlife encounters are certainly much appreciated, but the bigger scarier Bear ones we can do without. Unless I am at a safe distance away. Photos taken inside Jasper
