This is Dolomite peak, as seen from the hiking trail to Helen Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta. Wow an amazing view to be had from the trail! The peak stands tall at 2,998 metres or 9,836 feet. A monstrosity of a mountain to be sure. Sort of looks like a prehistoric animal, doesn’t it? This is my first time doing this hike, but not the last time. The weather was not entirely cooperative, but you can’t control nature. I will be planning another trip up here again sometime in the near future, and hopefully on a warm blue skied kind of day.
