Farewell Helen Lake, its been a slice. I have finally exhausted all my pics from both dslr and smartphone cameras. All in all the experience was I’d say about a 7/10 approximately. I did manage to get a lot of fantastic photos, considering the weather we were dealt. Total time spent on this hike was about four and a half hours. If I hadn’t taken so many pictures then it would only have taken about four hours. Documenting the hike with plenty of photos does take time, and certainly does slow one down. One of the benefits of stopping repeatedly to photograph, is it allows you to rest somewhat as the elevation rises or declines. I do look forward to coming back again someday, and hopefully that will be on a nice sunny day with plenty of blues skies! Tomorrow we head back to one of my favourite lakes, stay tuned.
