After some arduous elevation gain, and a few switchbacks, this was the first reward. Wow, what a view! Unfortunately we did not have blue skies, but you can’t win em all. This was awesome, but a slight bit cool and windy, with a smidgen of rain. Oh well. At this point we were approximately two thirds of the way to the lake. In the back of my mind I was already thinking to myself that I must do this hike again, and with any luck, bluer skies next time. Must be satisfied with the weather and enjoy the journey today.
