One of the main attractions of the Minnestimma Lakes / Larch Valley hike is the Larch trees themselves. Now I took these pictures back in mid September, and was expecting to see a little more yellow in the trees, but in fact as it turned out, I was about 2 weeks too early. Apparently end of September is the ideal time to view the Larch trees turning colour (note to self). The trees were quite pretty to view nonetheless, even though I was a bit too early. Photos taken inside Banff National Park, Alberta, beside Moraine Lake.
