Here we are “mountainside” on the trail to Helen Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta. Typically when in the Canadian Rockies, you will often come across a decent mountain stream, like this one. Usually the melt begins in about May, June timeframe, and continues into September or so. Every year, like clockwork. Someone was kind enough to make a nice walking bridge for us hikers to cross the stream. It is always a thrill to cross a stream for some reason. All part of the fun involved with hiking in Canada’s backyard. Are you planning any good hikes for next year? Any ideas, any good recommendations? Canada or US, I open for either.
