I have never seen so many red rocks and dirt in all of my life! Very unique and original. This is what part of the trail to Rowe lakes looks like. Due to higher than normal iron deposits, this is the result. Kinda like hiking on Mars. I have hiked all over the Canadian Rockies and nothing really compares to this place, here in Waterton Lakes park, Alberta. I’ll be back in the area this coming July to explore a few more trails, and am expecting more of this kind of reddish trail. Looking forward to that! Thanks for stopping by.
