We encountered this gnarly tree stump, just a sittin up top here at Wycliffe Butte. I wonder how it came to be this way? A lightning strike, drought; who knows really, but it did look pretty cool. I did enjoy and appreciate the many tall trees on this particular adventure, both the living and the dead. There is beauty to be found in everything, you just have to go out and find it.
