So as I mentioned in the previous post, I did manage to “summit” the Rae glacier hiking trail, have a quick snack, soak in the views, have a brief friendly conversation with some other “older” hikers, and after all that it was time to return. As it was a scramble scenario on the way up, I did not return using the same path. Descending is usually a wee bit easier than ascending, but not always. In this case, it was somewhat easier. One of the coolest things on this particular hike was this massive rock wall, and the melting glacier ice dripping down the front. It really was awesome to see, and it did in fact look like the rock wall was “weeping”. A very unique find for the hike, I don’t ever recall seeing anything quite like it before actually!
