A few weeks ago, we decided to go to the mountains after many years to see the snow, since it doesn't snow here anymore... So, shortly after Christmas, we took advantage of the first snowfall at high altitudes and a nice day to improvise a trip. The idea was to show our son the snow, as he had never seen it before, and to let him use a sled, something I used to do often as a child and really enjoyed. We headed towards Asiago, in the Veneto Alps.
It took an hour to get there, but as soon as we drove up, we started seeing snow on the road, fresh from the night before. Fortunately, we didn't have to go too far up. Very beautiful and evocative images.
Soon after, we arrived at a place with a restaurant and a kiosk where we could rent sleds, and there were many slopes. The price was very good—5€ for one hour of sledding, which you could use wherever you wanted, and even an adult could fit comfortably, not just a child. Needless to say, my son had a great time. It was a struggle to climb back up every time, but it was worth it.
After a couple of hours of sledding up and down, we ventured a bit into the snow-covered forest to take some nice photos. We didn’t go all the way in, but we wanted to see what it was like.
In the end, towards the evening, we returned home satisfied and happy!
