Engagement Session
While I am my towns leading Horror and Fantasy Photographer, I do do normal styled photos / portraits for people. Somr of my favorite is engagements and maternity.
ISO 125 ◆ 70mm ◆ F5.0 ◆ 1/800
I also love taking detailed shots!!! Most portrait photographers just capture the people. I capture the little things!!
ISO 100 ◆ 153mm ◆ F5.6 ◆ 1/125
Although this particular session was slightly more challenging. We shot in a State Park / Natural Springs. There were many areas to walk all with different light sources and they also did an outfit change mid way thru the session. So not only did I have to perfect equally the settings to match light, I had to find the correct editing mix to make a cohesive gallery.
ISO 160 ◆ 55mm ◆ F4.5 ◆ 1/125
Alternatively, I chose to use my 55mm to 200mm zoom lens the entire shoot. It was versatile for the landscape and scenery vs using a prime lens. It most definitely yeilded positive results.
ISO 100 ◆ 55mm ◆ F4.5 ◆ 1/250
I do think this will be my signature pose for couples. I use a similar one for solo portraits and maternity. It is one of those someone sees the photo and is like "Yup, Liz took that pic!"
ISO 100 ◆ 148mm ◆ F5.6 ◆ 1/125
I also think the ring shots are what makes the majority of an engagement portrait session aside from a few kissing shots. It really brings home to the audience "Hey we're getting married!"
What do you think? Do you like the detailed ring shots?
ISO 100 ◆ 83mm ◆ F5.0 ◆ 1/125
I for normally not doing a "Light and Airy" type of edit and photo session, I think I nailed this one. It will be a timeless love story!
I hope you enjoyed this little love story..
ALL PHOTOS WERE TAKEN BY ME ON MY CANON MSESRIES MIRRORLESS CAMERA, EDITED IN PS AND LR
I am thinking about doing little tutorials about color grading, composition, and techniques. Should I?
Also for the current time being all my posts are 100% power up.. I'm really trying to stay on track and build!
