I took the following photos while I was on the Woods Road Trail in Baltimore County, Maryland. The Woods Road Trail is one of the trails around the Loch Raven Dam area. I accessed this part of the trail right across the street from the bigger dam.
I visited here this passed Spring. It was a little breezy but the sun was shining and the temperature was nice. I love the look of new green foliage in the Springtime!
The trail was mostly level until we (my husband and I) came to a spot where there was a steep decline. I knew that getting down wouldn't be an issue but we weren't exactly sure where the trail led below and I also knew that getting back up could be a problem for me so I was content to have gotten as far as I did and we decided to turn around at that point.
There weren't any streams or creeks on the part of the trail that we were on but I didn't mind as it gave us time to appreciate the trees and foliage. At times I could look to either side of the trail and see rays of sunlight shining down through the trees. We were on a bit of a time schedule also but because we stayed on the upper part of the trail it gave us some extra time to slow down a bit and take in a little more of the beauty that nature had to offer.
