I think watching the series is a great way to better understand a country: the settings, the dialogues, the traditions, ... In Italy we have numerous TV series but I don't like most of them because they are comedies or love stories, which I can't stand. If I had to give advice I would say "Romolus", a historical Netflix TV series that talks about the birth of Rome. Or the "1992-1993-1994" series which tells about the politics of those very famous years for our political landscape. Bye, have a good day :)
