So worth the drive
After a very long, but beautiful drive, and I have made it to Estes, Colorado. We are hoping to be able to get some pretty awesome shots of the landscape and the animals here.
The drive was one of the most scenic drives I have ever been on when it comes to driving on the interstate. I-70 is a really great road to travel on, especially this time of year.
For the last few hours of the drive, the interstate followed the Green River and there were a bunch of tunnels through the mountains. It was pretty dope.
The area we are staying is pretty awesome. It has a real old town feel to it and there were people walking all over around the main street in town. Tomorrow we are probably going to go out walking and see the area on foot. I am going to be bringing my OneWheel out and riding around as well.
I brought my drone with me, but I didn't bring my charger for it and my batteries are about half dead. So I will be very limited on flying time while I am here.
We did a quick walk around the area here and found some geese and a rabbit to get some pictures of.
Here is getting some cool shots with is camera. He is a new member of the Hive blockchain that I brought on and he loves to travel to really cool places, so when I knew I needed to plan a really cool place for us to travel to for the weekend so he can show me how to get some cool landscape shots. Be sure to give him a follow if you haven't already cause he has done some very cool posts so far.
We just got back from dinner and there is a blizzard dumping on us. The next couple days are supposed to be clear, with Sunday being amazing weather, so I think we are going to be heading into the Rocky Mountain National Park that day.
Tomorrow we are planning on going to The Stanley Hotel. If you are familiar with the movie The Shining, that is where they filmed it. It is about 5 minutes away and it looks awesome. If the weather is decent after we go to the hotel, we are probably going to go into the park and see if we can see any wildlife.
Thanks for checking out my post. I am pretty excited about the photos I hope to get over the next couple days.
