While I was at my parent's house, we found a frog in their backyard. I thought it was pretty odd to find a frog like this, considering they live in a desert.
I had always thought that frogs need some body of water for them to live in, and there wasn't any of that near my parent's home. It got me wondering where these frogs lay their eggs and how hard it would be for a frog like this to survive in the desert.
I have no idea what type of frog this is. Frogs are weird little animals. Their entire life cycle is pretty cool when you think about it. They start off as little tadpoles just swimming around in water, then they grow legs and move onto land for the remainder of their lives. It is pretty cool how they have adapted throughout time to be able to survive in those different places.
One thing I have never eaten before is frog legs. There isn't much meat on the legs of a frog and it makes me wonder how many frogs would have to die just to not be hungry. It also got me thinking if people eat the rest of the frog or if they only eat the legs. It seems kind of wasteful to just eat their legs, but the rest of the frog is so gross looking and they feel pretty gross as well. I don't think I could ever eat a frog because they are just so weird and nasty feeling.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures. If you have ever eaten frog legs, let me know. I would like to know if you liked them and what they tasted like. Probably tastes like chicken...
