Love this little dude

I just finished cleaning Yoshi's cage and got him sone fresh crickets and now he is on the hunt for some food. It is so fun watching him move around looking for creepy crawlies to eat.

His crown is getting huge and I am 100% convinced he is a male, so that is good. He is going to continue to grow and get so much bigger.

It is crazy how big he has gotten over the past month. He is doing so good and does not appear to have any health issues at all.

I wish I was able to get some shots of him shooting his tongue out at the crickets because it is so cool. He is not a huge fan of the camera though because I get so close to him, so I don't think he would be comfortable enough to eat food while my camera is near.

One fun fact about chameleons is that their tongue can be up to twice the length of their body and it can accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 1/100th of a second. So just imagine being a cricket and getting slammed by a huge tongue out of nowhere. I wonder if it knocks the crickets out or kills them when it hits them.
