Gonna shed soon
We have had Yoshi for a little over a week and he has really stolen our hearts. It is crazy to think that we could fall in love with a tiny reptile, but he has really become a big part of our family.
My daughter was excited to get to hold him. I have held off on letting other people hold him for now so that he wasn't getting overwhelmed. He has gotten a little bit bigger since we got him and he is a lot healthier looking.
He probably eats like 6-10 crickets a day. For now he isn't too comfortable eating from our hands or anything, so I usually just put some crickets in throughout the day and he eats them as he explores and finds them.
He is most likely going to be shedding in the next week or two. When chameleons shed, they look pretty crazy. It looks like they are wearing a ghost costume or something. So it will be cool to see what he looks like when he is shedding.
I am getting more positive that Yoshi is a male. The crown on his head is getting a bit bigger and the spike on his back legs is getting more prominent.
We can't wait to see him grow over the next few weeks. It will be cool to see the different colors that he is going to have.
