View in my backyard.
These roads are nice and plowed, but they are still pretty slick.
Gotta keep the sidewalks plowed in the neighborhood.
Someone didn't get the memo that you need to slow down in the ice and snow.
That will ruin your day.
My neighborhood turns into a winter wonderland when it snows.
Heading into my circle. My road doesn't get plowed as much as the main roads.
Dwarf Fuji Apple tree.
This winter seems to have lasted forever. We have broken so many records with the amount of snowfall we have gotten and the snow continues to fall. It has been a wild winter, but I am ready for it to be over and the sun to come out.
As much as I hate driving in the snow, it does make my area look like a winter wonderland. Too bad so many people here have no clue how to drive in the snow. At least the one accident I saw was just a dude that ran off the road and crashed into a tree and didn't hurt anyone else. The speed limit is pretty slow on that road, so I have no idea how fast this doofus was going to lose control and go up in the grass. Hopefully it teaches him to slow down next time.
The plows seem to skip my street though and when I was getting home, I was having a bit of trouble getting back into my driveway because the snow had gotten deeper and I had to go uphill a bit. Good thing I have grown up driving in conditions like this and know what to do. So many people have moved here to this area over the past few years from places like California and have idea how to drive when the roads get bad.
Once the snow is gone and it warms up, I am going to be trimming the trees in my backyard. The branches are so thick in there and I think that trimming the branches will open things up a bit more and hopefully reduce the amount of birds that live in my trees.
I also just planted a new tree in my backyard. I am hoping to get a nice orchard in the back. The tree I planted was a dwarf fuji apple tree. I am going to be getting another fruit tree, probably peaches cause that's what my wife wants, and then some berry bushes.
The rest of this month is going to be snowy, but hopefully April brings some good rains and sunshine. I've got a lot of work to do to get things looking the way we want. We want to have a nice oasis for us to spend time out in nature and in the next few years we want our fruit trees and bushes to give us all sorts of treats.
