Flowerful view of the castle
Enjoy this incredible view from my balcony to the Naumburg castle.
Naumburg is a lovely little town in the district of Kassel, in Hesse, Germany 🇩🇪 .
It has many little Half-timbered buildings and it is located 25 km southwest of Kassel on the German Timber-Frame Road.

Hessenkourier
The HESSENCOURRIER owes its name to the vehicles that were mostly in service on Hessian railroad lines. Read more at https://www.hessencourrier.de/
In 1970, the "Eisenbahnfreunde Kassel" (Railroad friends Kassel) purchased two passenger cars from the Kassel-Naumburg light railroad. Already two years later the car could be used at the first club trip. In the following years, further vehicle rarities were saved from imminent scrapping.

Among them were two passenger cars from the Langenschwalbach Railway, which have two short bogies for better cornering. The oldest example of this type of car is a showpiece of the collection and can also be found in the club symbol.
Today, the Hessenkourier can proudly present the development of passenger cars from 1894 to 1956 with our vehicle collection.
Here is the timetable for 2023 train rides https://www.hessencourrier.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Fahrplan-2023.pdf with the Hessenkourier
Facts about Naumburg
Naumburg was first mentioned in documents in 1170. The castle of Naumburg, Nuwenburc, although mentioned in the sources only in 1182, was, however, probably built already at the beginning of the 12th century by the local noble family of the von Naumburgs, who probably sat on the nearby Weidelsburg. In 1260 the village received town rights. Already six years later, in 1266, the nobleman Wittekind von Naumburg, canon in Magdeburg and canon in Halberstadt, with the consent of his nephews, sold the castle in Naumburg, the Weidelsburg and the court Elben ("Hagebuche"), pledged to the Naumburgers by the landgraves of Hesse, to Archbishop Werner von Mainz. Apart from a long-term pledge to the Counts of Waldeck in the 16th century, the small agrarian town remained in the possession of the Archbishopric of Mainz until 1802. As a result, the town became a Catholic enclave in Protestant Hesse after the Reformation was introduced in the Landgraviate of Hesse in 1526. The area around today's Elbenberg and the old Elberberg Castle were also church property until the 15th century; they belonged to the monastery of St. Alban outside Mainz, which appointed the lords of Elben as bailiffs in the Elber Mark.

Hotel
Sure, a place to sleep, a shower, and a good breakfast are necessary when traveling. As we have had this event for a few years, the Hotel Weinreich was always a good choice. Mainly it is just 80m from our event location and breakfast at the nice winter garden is a wonderful start to the day
Why I traveled to Naumburg
This was again such an event where we met many people from the call center and customer service world to network together
And as you might know, it happened again. They had some good beer. The Bayreuther Hell comes from far more south of Germany but it even tastes very well here in the center of the country. This time they had not the typical half-liter bottle but the smaller 0,33 l (one-third liter) bottle. Ok, that means a bit more walking to the fridge, but always a cold beer...
The fridge
What should I say? It was nearly enough.

Sure, this beer tastes well
About the beer
Oh man, what to say here - typical Helles just. No big swing in any direction. Rather, suitable for the masses, and compatible with every beer drinker, no matter from which region of Germany, Europe, or the world you are coming. Anyone in the world who is served this beer will drink it up because you simply can't go wrong with it. I did a few and there was no addon surprise the next morning.
Have a great day everybody
and let us travel the world again
Enjoy the #BeerSaturday
