A meetup at the beach
From a funny idea to a real meeting. This was #HiveMeetupBali No.3.
It was small but lovely and intensely. We talked 2.5 hours.
Hey Hive Family
let us travel the world again
and meet great people
Yes, a big Hive banner at the Bali beach
The lovely organized a huge banner the day before the event and made the company printing it overnight and delivered to my hotel. Kudos for this.
We had some coconut as drinks as we don’t have any alc at this kind of meetups. Detlev has to get his sunset beer later.
Hivians and presents
For my long trip to Bali I added one of the Hive shirts from the Web3 Event from Berlin to my limited luggage. At the meetup this changed the owner and now has this for his talks about Hive here in Bali. I guess he enjoys it a lot.
Topics
We talked a lot about how to get more people from Indonesia to Hive. The was a main concern because the language barrier as many Indonesian may speak English but are not good in writing.
With latest language technology, writing by speech to text, we discussed a solution.
Even better, people may write in local language and use translation services to create a bi-lingual post.
This just need to be explained as everyone has all this technology already on his mobile phone.
Where did we meet
The location is visible on the #Pinmapple Link in the comments.
Building up the banner
As most of this meetup was spontaneous, we picked as well the place at the beach in front of the HardRock Hotel just by going there. Tho owner Duta was very helpful and came with some rope and even some bamboo sticks to build it up.
A funny looking lady passed our work
More topics
We had a long talk about the games on Hive. Sure, Splinterlands was a discussion but as well dCity and Cryptobrewmaster. New games like terracore and Golemmancer where discussed. There we chatted about the different game play, the time you have to invest and the ability to earn on that different games.
Sunset time
This area of Bali is known for all the strange waves for surfing and as well for the wonderful sunsets.
See this one and and enjoy

Final thoughts
Even with little amount of people we showed what a meetup could look like. Most important new connections are made and new ideas are exchanged.
