On a trip down south, I visited the Bournemouth 'Christmas Tree Wonderland' with over 100 twinkly Christmas trees along the route. There was also light shows, animated characters, and live music as we walked through the gardens and all the way down to the pier. The blue and yellow tree was called 'Kyiv' in support of Ukraine, which was a nice touch.
You could walk through the Christmas bauble and take a selfie if you wanted to.
On the 'Pine Walk' there were cute polar bears amongst the trees. At least the night was cold enough for the bears. There was an ice rink somewhere, but I decided to stay clear of it. I used to go ice skating as a youngster. I couldn't even walk to the rink without falling over.
We made our way towards the pier. It definitely was a Winter Wonderland with the golden reindeer and the big wheel in the background against the lovely blue sky.
At night, as we walked from one lit up tree to another and through the numerous decorations, we couldn't help getting into the Christmas spirit, and Santa Claus turned up right at the end.
