earlier this winter before we left Norway i took this series of sunrise photos from Rakke Vestre, a park just outside of Stavern. the entire sequence was taken in less than 30 minutes starting at 8:54. Rakke Vestre is a great place to view the sunrise, either from the water's edge or as here from a wide-open overlook easily accessed from the parking lot.
the sun appeared at almost exactly 9 o'clock. because of the low cloud cover i thought it would be slightly disappointing after such a great start. but i was amazed at how this progressed
it may not seem like it but the photos are presented in chronological order. but the shots are of different places in the sky in the general direction of the sunrise
