Today I'd like to take you back to the art world again, which is attracting me quite often. I keep saying I need to start creating my own art and as usual, trading is taking up all my time. Basically it's my decision, how I prioritize things and you can see that nothing can beat trading.
Anyway, today I started working on a sewing project that it's been on my mind for some time and as usual, have just been pushing the fabrics around, till today. Today most likely I'm going to make progress with my shopping bag, after which is coming something really unique and out-of-the-box that I'm going to post about, but till then, let's get back to art, which in a certain sense is connected to sewing.
Today I'd like to show you the rest of the photos I took at the solo exhibition by Simion Moldovan, a very talented artist I had the chance to meet in person as well and also have a chat with him. I'm not going to lie, it was motivating, especially when he said you don't have to have talent to create art, you can learn it. Again, we have to distinguish between the mess they call these days and real art, so he was obviously referring to real art, not a bucket of paint thrown on the wall. My plan is to really create something I like and maybe make others happy with it as well, but that's a long shot. Till then, let's see what Simion Moldovan has to show us.
I have to warn you, most of the artworks will be riddles, as there were no titles, no labels and you can kinda consider them half abstract as well. This one for me looks like a running violinist, but I'm curious what you see. It's half abstract and quite messy, but so is classical music and the life of an artist. I love the yellow background, it brings out, highlights the model well.
I've never seen anything similar before and honestly, I had to work hard to find the right angles, especially because of the glass. The text interested me as there's always a clue there, even though it's not the whole story. So what it was written on the glass was the beginning of a story, like "Once upon a time, there was a ..." but you can only read the beginning.
This was a complex one, not that the others are simple, and it's quite scary too.
Most likely this wins today in my eyes. You could not see the face or the front of the statue as it was facing the corner, but that's exactly what the meaning was here. It expresses sadness, pain and even thought it's not one to have at home, it's spectacular.
At this point, I think you agree with me that the keyword to use regarding these artworks could be complex. My first question in front of every artwork always is "What the artist was thinking?" Here I see two poor people, dressed in black, running from danger that is behind them.
Do I see a wheelchair here and a man with a helmet? Do you see a wheelchair here and a man with a helmet?
The particularity of this painting is, that not the silhouette of the people are important, but the detailed drawing on them. Look at the faces, there's one very unusual. Or maybe all of them are.
I'm really curious to know what you think of these paintings and sculptures. This was definitely not a usual or boring exhibition and I think each artwork has a special message, you just have to figure out what it is :) Feel free to let me know in a comment.
