Yes, that's true, I could hardly wait for the exhibition season to start. During the holidays some of the museums, exhibitions were open, but there was nothing new. One third of the month of January is already gone, so it was just about time for something to move on this front as well. So today I went to the Art Nouveau gallery, which is slowly becoming my favorite gallery for a good reason.
This is the gallery where there are always so many amazing pieces. Looking back to what I saw last year, I feel really blessed for being able to see these masterpieces and for free. Not paying an entry fee is a huge bonus for me as otherwise I would be leaving a good chunk of my money in art galleries. Yes, addictions are not cheap :D
So today I saw an art exhibition that was a bid different from what I have posted till now. The exhibition is named Protest and you'll see why. These artworks may have an emotional impact on you, so if you're not in a good mood or have a headache, now is the time to hit the Back button and come back another time.
This is called Manipulation.
I'm not sure I understand this one, but if you look in the eyes of the man or boy, you can see some feelings. It's very expressive in my opinion.
Peace
A collage of photos and drawing about the Ukrainian war.
Underground Mining IX
This is an odd one, but was one of my favorite and can't explain why. It symbolizes the hard life of miners. It's a strange but unique collage.
Escape From Hell
This was another favorite of mine. There are so many emotions here.
Defensive
Every time there are a few pieces that I don't understand or don't see what they mean. That's when the guessing starts. This piece and the next one is one of those.
Hesitation
Stop War
Equus
This may have a deep meaning in Romanian, but I'm not sure it is what I think it is, so I prefer not to say anything :)
Save Us Our Lamb
Another odd one.
Protest
Meat
It's your time! Fight for it!
This is a message for all of us and I agree with it. It's our time and we have to fight for it, when it's necessary. (Sorry for the reflection.)
And I Will Leave
I was trying to figure out on what support is this painted on but I couldn't, it was above my head anyway. I found it interesting though, showing the different phases on leaving.
The War - Exitus I.
This is where the guessing began again, but not about what it means, but about how it's made. Seemed like printed on some kind of textured paper. I was tempted to touch it but that's a big no!
The War - Exitus III.
*Tempora Mutantur, Et Nos... (?) 1
*Tempora Mutantur, Et Nos... (?) 2
This is Latin, for those of you who don't recognize it and it means Times Change, And So Do We ...(?), which is very true. This photo reminds me of a photo of mine, when I wanted to photograph two animals, side by side, a turkey and a hen. The main attraction would have been the turkey but the camera decided to focus on the hen, to my disappointment. The photo was still gold, but not the way I wanted.
Here the photographer decided to focus on the fence. I sometimes get this result, when I'm shooting through a fence and need to pay attention to shoot it again to get the desired result.
This was the first part of the exhibition. It was a really interesting one with a lot of interesting artworks.
